MTP 6.8.4 and Windows 7 32bit

Well... as usual, some goofy stuff going on (I think)

- I can't get the Master Volume to keep its setting when I close and reopen a song.

- If you mute a track and save, when you reopen a song, the track is un-muted.

- You can't minimize MTP... if you do, you can't open it, you have to EndTask and start it up again.

- If you leave empty tracks (Drums on track 1, nothing on track 2, bass on track 3)... when you close and reopen, all the tracks are crunched together (bass goes to track 2).

- While a sequence is running, if you want to make a change to a track, like velocity, sometimes the GUI freezes (the sequence still plays) but you have to EndTask to stop MTP.

- If you have a lot of songs open (like the first set at a performance), sometimes when you play a song, a different song name shows up in the windows that should show the correct song name... the song that you want is playing, but it is labbeled something different in the GUI.

I think there are others, but I can't think of them now... Is there any time line as to a new MasterTracks?

I try to get these maloperation with MTP Version 6.01 from Passport and the same happen. That is not a spezial feature from version 6.8.4.
At wich tracks push together are not a failure in my mind.

However - what I need is a proper saving in standart midi file and this is with MTP 6.8.4 impossible. On the other hand the .mts format is not 100% downwards compatible. If I save with MTP 6.8.4 as .mts and load this file with MTP 6.01 the conductor shows double or half of the original tempo.

Wow... that tempo thing is strange... I have never had that happen...

I found something else interesting…. If you consider the note “Middle C” that lies between the treble clef staff and the bass clef staff is technically called “C4”… why does my MasterTracks Pro sequencer label it as “C3” and My Cakewalk Music Creator 4 labels it as “C5”?

Here is the Grand (Piano) Staff with the note "C" shown.

The pic shows how C4 is located... in my sequencers, if you check what the note name is, it is labeled as I mentioned above! MasterTracks Pro labels it as “C3” and Cakewalk Music Creator 4 labels it as “C5”.

Hi,

You can set your split point with MTP however you want (base setting is C3).
I've set the split point as C4 and the note "C4" will be writen on the right line.

Octave numbering is highly country dependant ; what you call (middle C) is Do3 here in France
(that is, the tuning forth gives La3 = 440, that's our tradition)
To make the whole thing even more obscure, persons learning music through US softs often adopt your labelling .
Core Duo 2.4 MHz - 2 GB -o- Win XP SP3 -o- Encore 4.5.5
Soundblaster XFi Pro -o- Motu symphonic instrument
Gem JP76 keyboard
