Thanks for that highly informative post Rob, I thought it was nicely described in the Sibelius manual too. Mathematically perfect in Encore is best saved as a form of bizarre workaround to get back even spaced measures if manual changes to them have become undesirable. I believe this has been noted elsewhere on the forum several times.
