4.5 Crash on Startup

Version 4.5, windows fresh reload after format Encore crashes at load screen -- Program opens, but during the loading phase of the program after full window appears, critical error shuts program down. Tried disabling audio drivers, but still crashed. Reinstalled and same occurrence. Think it is some resource interference issue, but no idea how to repair.

• Make sure you updated to Encore 4.5.5 for Windows (free downloads at gvox.com).
• Which version of Windows (2000? XP? Vista? Service Packs applied?)

Ok, it used to be there.
Well, maybe Gvox wants customers to upgrade to Encore 5 now and reckons you are too late to update Encore 4.5.4 to 4.5.5.
Maybe you downloaded that update before and saved it somewhere?

If you bought Encore 4.5 after Jan 1, 2007, you can get a free upgrade to Encore 5.
Most likely, you bought your 4.5 before that date, since it is 4.5.4.

If you are the legit owner of a license for Encore 4.5x, you can upgrade to Encore 5 for the 'Upgrade price', which is roughly 1/3 of the 'Full version price'.

PS, you did not yet tell us which WIndows version you use. 2000? XP? Vista? Which Service Packs applied?
If it is Vista, check the drivers for your soundcard, should be the latest from the soundcard manufacturers website!
