Maybe a movie, which you can make with a video capture utility, explains best what you experience?
You can get Debut Video Capture software for free, here: http://www.nchsoftware.com/capture/index.html
It is not difficult to use.

wait a minute!!!

looking at your screen shot again, you have your input on the VST Player called
"Garritan Garritan 1" -- is should say "IAC Driver *myName*" to me this implies:

+ you changed the name of the IAC Driver to "Garritan" in AudioMIDISetup
or
+ You are running the standalone version and have selected the output from the standalone - which is not right!
or
+ The Garritan VST plugin creates its own MIDI channel (what!?!?) -- if so,
then you could try to select [off] for the MIDI port in GVOX VST Player, then in Encore set the playback device of all your instruments to "Garritan Garritan 1"

What means "glitchy break-ups" i don't find this expression in my translator

the audio is interrupted with clicks ( what happens is the audio data isn't transmitted fast enough in time and some silence gets inserted)

My problem of notes is exactly : some notes doesn't play (in a piano chord, I hear sometime 2 voices instead of 4) and some notes keep on playing after note off

hmm.. and just so i get this right
+ you dont see the problem playing Encore into Garritan Standalone using the same MIDI setup?
+ you get the problem playing a chord from external keyboard into Encore thru to VST Player (w/Garritan)?
+ do you have this problem when you use Encore's QWERTY?
+ does this happen for all scores or just a certain one you are testing with?
+ i assume the problem does not happen when playing through built-in synth?

Yes it's true, but now I renamed Exactly the IAC Bus to " IAC Driver Garritan" and it doesn't change anything

Now there's no audio clicks in my problem

No in standalone Kontakt Player works fine

matt wrote:+ you get the problem playing a chord from external keyboard into Encore thru to VST Player (w/Garritan)?

Yes

yes

All score, even some new ones I created for testing

matt wrote:+ i assume the problem does not happen when playing through built-in synth?

Yes, no problem with built-in synth and other GM soundfont (I made the test with "FluidR3_GS.sf2 and it works fine too)

ok well it basically comes down to trying another VST plugin to determine if it is the VST Player or Garritan plugin
thanks for dealing with this.

did you try increasing the i/o vector size to 1024?
you could also try changing the "overdrive" and "in interrupt" settings and see if that changes anything

I just tried GVox Vst Player with VSamp VST, it works better than Garritan (but it's cheaper and lighter !), but there is still some stuck notes. Maybes the player makes a funnel, in french : "un goulet d'étranglement" (bottleneck) ???

I increased the i/o vector to 1024 and try every setting but unsuccessful

Hi Matt,

I have a very good news for you : I just received the new Kontakt Free Player 3 and it solves in big part the problem. Now I can drive my big band set with the Gvox Player (15 instruments) and SOMETIMES, only sometimes there's a stuck note (on the bass line, it is the easier to hear) but it becomes rare !! It is not yet perfect, but it seems to come !!!!
Nevertheless for my 4 instruments file it's OK !
So it seems that the culprit is moret the sampler than the VST Player ?

to be continued !
