Hi Panos,
A bug like this is reported in ticket 195, and is qualified 'critical'.
I'm afraid we have to wait till it is solved...

You could try moving the next system well away from the chord, so that the chord is no longer "confused" about which system it's related to. Then if this does succeed in unsticking the chord you can move the system back into place afterwards. Messy but it sometimes works for me.
