For those needing help learning to play a musical instrument, Sony and the University of Tokyo, Japan, deliver the PossessedHand. Worn on the arm, 28 electrode pads can teach when and which fingers should be moved by stimulating the user's muscles. The external device could also function as a physical therapy aid, helping stroke victims regain use of their hands.

As a recent stroke survivor, I am going to investigate this further.

I can't see the need to support this functionality in Encore, however. I would think general MIDI should do - if the device supports it properly.
