Errors in shortcut description

I found many errors and omissions in the manual section about shortcuts.
Note Selection (the Windows alternatives exist but are omitted)

Code: Select all

Select note                          [Shift]+Click                         [Shift]+Click
Select note to the L/R of cursor     [Command] + [L/R Arrow]
Add L/R note to Selection            [Command]+[Shift]+[L/R Arrow]
Select L/R Measure’s notes           [Command] + [Opt]+[L/R Arrow]
Adds L/R measure’s notes to selec-
tion                                 [Command] + [Shift]+[Opt]+[L/R Arrow]
Set corners of Selection Region      [Shift]+Click                         [Shift]+Click

One more.
The manual version 3.2, page 257 tells me:

Drum Map [Ctrl]+ [=] [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[=]

At least for the Windows version that is wrong. it should be:

Drum Map [Ctrl]+[Alt]+[1]

How about the Mac version, what is the real shortcut there?

One more:

Floating Windows [Cmd]+[K] [Alt]+[K]

Is that correct, or should it be:

Floating Windows [Opt]+[Cmd]+[K] [Alt]+[K]

?

How about the Mac version, what is the real shortcut ?

The Drum Map shortcut on Mac is [Ctrl] + [=] and the lshortcut iss identified correctly in the menu.

Floating Windows [Cmd]+[K] [Alt]+[K]

Is that correct, or should it be:

Floating Windows [Opt]+[Cmd]+[K] [Alt]+[K]

?

On the Mac you can toggle floating windows with [Command] + [Option] + [K] ... and correct in the menu

I could not check the menu's in the Mac version of the program myself, so thanks for doing that for me!

For the record, I always found Gvox's nomenclature for shortcuts rather obtuse and inconsistent.

Throughout the user guide, Gvox uses many styles:

Copying a Note Using The Control/Option Key
"Hold down the [control (win)/option(mac)] key" — page 33

"Press and hold the [control (win)/option(mac)] key." — page 42

"hold the [control/option] key " — page 58, 86

"hold down both the [shift] and [control/option]" — page 86

"Select the double dot by using [shift/option]+[D]" — page 66

"[Control/option]+[-] embeds a ‘hard’ hyphen within the lyric data." — page 72

It's not until page 255, the Shortcuts section, that some semblance of consistency appears, e.g.
[Command]+[Option]+[K]

... and in such cases the capital K imples a shift key, so it might be clearer to write
[Command]+[Option]+[k]

I don't think it would be hard to find a more common system for indicating shortcuts.

To me, the manual appears to suffer from an urge to write concise.
And believe me, maintaining consistent terminology through a large document like this, is a hell of a job. I know, because I tried that with a Dutch manual for Encore 4.5.5. And just now I'm finishing a complete set of Help documents for Encore 5.0 in Dutch.
